Florida State economist: property values to rise
In one of the most promising signs yet that Florida’s housing market is
on the mend, the state’s top economist expects an increase in school
property tax receipts next year.
The forecast of school property taxes is a big indicator of the health
of the housing market. When home values go up, then property tax
receipts increase.
Realtors, economists and property appraisers all say they see signs of a
housing market recovery.
