Proposed new US visa scheme for international property buyers
Two US senators are preparing a bill that would offer international
property buyers a US residence visa.
The proposed measure would offer visas to overseas buyers making
a cash investment of at least $500,000 in residential property.
Under the proposal, purchasers with the new visa would not be able to
work in the US. They would be allowed to bring a spouse and any children
under the age of 18, but they would not be allowed to stay in the
country legally on the new visa once they sold their properties.
